Bingkai Karya-Donne Maulana, singer and songwriter released her debut album titled, “Daur Hidup.” The album consists of nine songs. Previously, Donne Maula was more behind the scenes as a songwriter for singers, one of whom was Yura Yunita. Five years after releasing the single “Menari Sampai Tua” in 2019, now the debut album entitled “Daur Hidup” is officially released to all DSP services.
Donne was more comfortable writing songs for other singers. Which explains why it took him so long to release his debut single. Now that he feels more comfortable, Donne dares to open his story into the nine songs in the album “Daur Hidup.” Through the nine songs in it, Donne invites listeners to enter and see the contents of his boisterous and winding head. Which full of colors and various moods.
Since it depicts the tale of the never-ending cycle of life, “Daur Hidup” was chosen as the album’s title. The song Daur Hidup expresses all of these emotions: happiness, sadness, hope, and disappointment. Donne wants to normalize that men also can be honest with their emotions and not hide them. It is another reason he shares his experience.
In order to produce diverse colors, Donne invited several different producer collaborators. Several names included such as Iwan Popo, Ivan Gojaya and Juké Musicworks. The result is a Daur Hidup album that can feel festive and positive, but also calm and contemplative. The hope is that listeners can feel that all feelings can be processed in different ways. Sadness doesn’t always have to be melodic, and happiness doesn’t always have to be joyful.
