Grand Mercure Malang Mirama hosted a “Down Syndrome Model Hunt 2023” event for kids with Down syndrome. The event that took place in the Grand Ballroom is a collaboration between Grand Mercure Malang and Malang Female Motret, Komunitas Pejuang Mimpi, DD Kids Public Speaking, Hamparan Rintik, and Komunitas Chromawesome.
The event gives kids with Down Syndrome an opportunity to show that their genetic condition does not limit their ability to express themselves. Down syndrome is a genetic disease that occurs at birth. This disorder is known to cause a variety of health issues, including delays in physical and mental development.
Grand Mercure Malang Mirama strives to let the larger society know that kids with Down Syndrome have the same opportunities and chances to succeed as other kids. In this event, they can express themselves as they wish, which will bring out their natural and charming talents.
This event also included art performances by DDKids Malang, ABekA Mom’s Craft Dancing Performance by House of Fatima, and the Down Syndrome Dance Community. This event aimed to instill confidence in participants so that they might become brand ambassadors for a product. Also, the participants who took part in this event won cash and a number of gifts.
