Jeremy Loops released his most anticipated 3rd album entitled “Heard You Got Love”. He also released a single “Head Start” produced by Red Triangle and co-written by Wayne Hector. This came after the co-written tune “Better Together” that he previously released with Ed Sheeran. After meeting backstage during a performance in South Africa, the two hit it off and agreed to collaborate. Ed even joked that Jeremy was a greater “loop” artist than him.
The internationally known South African vocal group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, one of Jeremy’s lifelong influences, helped write and record the album’s lead hit. The band was founded in the 1960s to produce traditional world music with lively, energizing harmonies, and in this instance, its distinct sound blends seamlessly with Jeremy’s sound.
The renowned career of Ladysmith Black Mambazo was followed by a young Jeremy who was moved to tears the first time he saw them perform live. It was a dream come true for us to work together on this record.
Jeremy has carefully merged these values into each corner of his latest record. He says, “This is the album I’ve always wanted to make and my hope is that some of the things I’ve written about will mean as much to others as they do to me. Every song speaks to something I care deeply about.”
Jeremy was able to experiment with more technical areas of recording for the album “Heard You Got Love” than he had previously. In between regular dips in the ocean, Jeremy created the record in his home studio. He worked with well-known musicians including Carey Willetts, Jake Gosling, Simone Felice, and Simone Gosling, among others. For the record, he also hired a host of top producers, including Cam Blackwood, Eg White, and Lewis Capaldi’s Ed Holloway.
Jeremy learned to play the guitar for the first time while in college and is a self-taught musician. The South African, who rose from deckhand to yacht master as his love for songwriting increased, composed music while employed on superyachts. Jeremy’s dependable loop pedal accompanied him on his voyage of the seas since he was fixated on fitting music into every day on land and every evening on ship.
